It’s a lot easier to be brave when you’ve got lives to spare. It’s a lot harder when you only have one life. ONE life. If I die in the World of Balance. Plot[]

Prologue: Whisked Away to Another World[]

Following the battle with Phosphora at Thunder Cloud Temple, Pit had lingering doubts on what he did back there. He brushed it off as nothing. After decompressing for the night, Pit went to bed as usual, when something out of the ordinary happened. A bright light engulfed the room, along with a portal appearing in the middle of it. Pit tried to escape the portal, but was eventually sucked in. When Palutena arrived to check on Pit, since he wasn't responding, she got concerned. After opening the door to Pit's room, there was no one in sight. Palutena went to one of the Centurions to ask if they have seen anything. One of them told Palutena that they didn't see anything, and that Pit's room was untouched. Shocked, Palutena went to the area where she would normally watch Pit when she sends him on missions and fighting battles such as Phopshora. She used her all-goddess vision to find him, to no avail.

Viridi, furious of Phosphora losing to Pit, was sitting at her office. Arlon tended to things while Phosphora was recovering from her battle with Pit in her room at Viridi's Sanctuary. At the goddess vision where Viridi saw Phosphora fight with Pit, Arlon could hear Palutena's voice calling out. Arlon called Viridi, to which she came to the place. They were informed that Pit has vanished from this world without a trace. Arlon even admitted that Pit might have the potential to be a valuable ally for the fight against Hades, but told Viridi that this is a death blow for Palutena's Army and that Hades might take advantage of it. Viridi eventually caved in due to the fact that Hades was extremely dangerous, even if those are the human race that she dislikes. Seeing Phosphora flirted with Pit, Arlon went to her room. At Phosphora's room, she was re-charging when Arlon opened the door to her room and nonchalantly asked what he was doing here. She was notified of Pit's disappearance in the morning, leaving her speechless and shocked.

Quotes[]

"Why did I fight Phosphora? Times have changed now. There is no gratification from winning a battle. It's not fun to be honest. Plus, that was arrogant of me to taunt in her face. She was not at full strength at the time. I would have likely lost if she was at full strength. Can you fight like that, knowing you beat an enemy when they are weakened? There's nothing honorable about that." - Pit to Sabin

"It seems that every night now, I can't stop thinking about her. Even in my dreams, I see her all the time. Is this what they called.....love?" - Pit to himself.

"Come on! Stupid f***ing sh*tmiss!" - Pit ranting about failing to FC an osu! map Viridi's Sanctuary (in the middle of the night) after they left FF6 world.

"War is not heroic. War is not exhilarating. It is dark. It is dreadful. It is a thing of sorrow and gloom.
That is why people fear war. That is why people choose to avoid it. That is why I choose to avoid it after coming and learning about the horrible things that have been committed. Phosphora wasn't a bad person. Like me, she got tangled up in the war between the gods. A war that I no longer want to take part in, and live forever in peace. Maybe I can bring Phosphora here too." - Pit to Sabin and Edgar.

"Go back to my world?! Why would I ever want to go back to that place? However, you may be right in fearing that Palutena might not be fine at all. I guess we should go back there. After all, I am the Captain of the Guard. Can't leave them, you know?" - Pit to Sabin

"Arlon, ever since I ended up in another world, her screams of pain after she lost to me has been haunting me for so long. Only after I grew up I realized how wrong I was about this entire thing. About her as a person. I wished that fight never happened in the Thunder Cloud Temple. I hate myself so much for acting the way I did in the past. I.......I'm so...sorry....*sobs*...Phosphora. So..sorry....I should have given her a Drink of the Gods after that empty battle." - Pit breaks down in front of Arlon after arriving back in his world.
