Dyntos (ディントス Dintosu) is the God of the Forge. Though he appears to be an elderly man, he is an incredible
craftsman and able to replicate monsters, bosses, and weapons. He was the creator of the Three Sacred Treasures and the Great Sacred Treasure, as well as all of the 108 weapons in Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Kid Icarus: Dyntos' Rise[]
In this Story Dyntos makes an army of beings he has seen from people's minds who have tried to obtain the rebuilt great sacred treasure
Kid Icarus:The Scientist[]
In this story Dyntos is the brother of the evil mastermind, Brontos. In the game, he helps Pit on all his levels like Palutena. He makes all of Pit's weapons and remakes the Great Sacred Treasures to defeat Brontos.
Kid Icarus: The Mother Goddess[]
In The Mother Goddess, it is revealed that Dyntos is actually created by Hephaestus, the true God of the Forge; after this revealation, Dyntos is replaced for the most part by his creator. However, he does lead the angels to Hephaestus, as he was programmed to.
Kid Icarus: Clash of Angels[]
Dyntos makes sporadic appearances in Clash of Angels. He takes on Artem as an apprentice, and both of them make Pit and Trip's new weapons. He is seen in the subplot involving Pit's dream. In Bonus Chapter 3, he has Pit and Trip perform the Zodiac Gauntlet, and he is also seen spectating Pit and Trip's fated rematch in Bonus Chapter 5.
Kid Icarus: Defender of Light[]
Dyntos makes two appearances in Defender of Light, both times when Pit and Dark Pit seek a weapon to fight the main enemy. The first time sought, he turns them down, stating they must find another way to fight Hades'. The second time in Chapter 24, however, he tests both Pit and Dark Pit, granting them the Light and Dark Sacred Treasures. During the chapter he reveals he knows Dark Pit's real reason for helping Pit and Palutena: to keep himself alive, which is a surprise to Pit. Dark Pit argues that it makes no real difference, however.
